Incan Society

The Incan Empire began in around 1200 CE, which is towards the end of the Mayan Civilization and at the same time as the Aztecs. It was the largest of all the Pre-Colombian societies and the most complex. They had an excellent road and communication system that spanned the entire empire, which was very unique. They also had beautiful cities like Machu Pichu, which means "city built on a mountain".

The Incans also mined for copper, bronze, gold, and silver, which were all important for making religious artifacts. They did not use these precious metals as money, unlike many other civilizations.
